"Pictures
of nature have been shown to increase the speed of a person's healing.
The ideal is for the patient to have access to a window opening onto
nature; failing this a picture of nature will have almost the same
effect, while those exposed to pictures of modern art did not heal so
quickly."
Jane
Clitheroe takes what she sees as Healing Photographs as a restoring
hobby. She sees herself as a frustrated painter who has turned to
photography to truly capture the wonder of nature she sees around her
and to share it with other who may not have such immediate access.
Her current exhibition at The Studio, Coburns Farm is entitled
"WATER"
"This exhibition of colour photographs is inspired by the textures and
moods of the water that surrounds me as I explore my environment both
locally and on my travels abroad."
Photographs are for sale between £30 and £80.
There is also a range of greetings cards at £1 each.
